The feasibility study for the renovation proposes two conceptual schemes which enhance the public and private spaces of the residence halls including upgrades to the exterior, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems and ADA compliance.
The building’s renovation and new addition were designed to maintain the historic character of a much-loved dormitory while meeting the College’s current programmatic, operational, and sustainable design objectives.
Fahey and McLane Residence Halls are a new 162 bed facility for undergraduate students at Dartmouth College. The new building completes a residential cluster with two adjacent residence halls, and provides interior and exterior spaces for activities.
