Paris Europa is a high-end men’s clothing store located on the first level of the Philadelphia Building. This project was one of the first redevelopment efforts by Goldman Properties to help revitalize the area of Center City just east of Broad Street.
This preliminary design is one proposed solution which places commercial use on the ground level with three levels of parking above, and an additional two levels of residences at the top of the building.
Pier 78 and it’s bulkhead building were built in 1917 in the first wave of the City Beautiful movement. The simple building lent itself well to conversion to a floor plan that is an efficient use of space, and emphasizes the views and natural light.
