Low Income Housing Renovation

The Imani IV project included the conversion of a mixed use commercial building into a six-unit affordable residential building. The project also included the renovation of a single family residence at 4042 Green St. Prior to the renovation, both buildings had deteriorated and become unoccupied, structurally impaired shells. The historic facades of the buildings were stabilized and restored in the spirit of the original design, and the interior structure was replaced. The commercial feel of the first floor was retained to recognize the street and existing commercial corridor. Through careful planning, design, and construction, both buildings were converted to much needed rental housing and returned to use in the community.
