Honey House

Honey House for the Southwark Queen Village Community Garden

In celebration of the Southwark Queen Village Community Garden’s thirty-fourth anniversary a building was designed and built for bee keeping maintenance and honey processing. Lawson Bell Architects led a team to design and fabricate the garden shed know as the honey house. The design includes 200 square feet of storage and work space beneath a cool green roof. Bee keepers now have a place to build and clean hives, store equipment and extract and bottle honey produced by the garden’s bees.
